COURSE OVERVIEW
The goal of this course is for you to be able to identify the appropriate actions for responding to a fire or fire alarm in a healthcare setting.
COURSE SUMMARY
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Recognize fire hazards and how to remedy them.
- Understand the basic principles of Fire Prevention.
- Understand how to respond to a fire using the R.A.C.E. or R.E.A.C.T. protocol.
- State and explain, in the correct order, the steps for proper usage of a fire extinguisher using the P.A.S.S. protocol.
- Understand the correct actions to take when you hear a fire alarm.
